Summary: Bernard Kivuma is a research officer and medical doctor on HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in a rural setting in Tanzania. He has a special interest in preventive and treatment interventions for HIV especially for Key and Vulnerable Populations who are disproportionately affected with HIV, TB, as well as other opportunistic infections. Bernard sees the e-fellowship as an opportunity to interact with other fellows, sharpen his skills for further research in his clinical setting and gain an understanding of important considerations in working on issues affecting adolescent key populations with a holistic approach, and getting to know how different studies are developed while interacting with a network of global researchers.
