Summary: Mimi Eve Teffo is a public health and technical development specialist with 15 years of experience in the NGO sector. She has been working on HIV and SRH programs for PEPFAR, USAID, and Global Fund-supported programs at district and provincial levels. She works for Beyond Zero, seconded to the Department of Basic Education to provide strategic and technical oversight of the Global Fund Adolescents and Young People program. Before this role, she worked for Health Systems Trust, where she provided technical assistance for the SASURE Project: Health Systems Strengthening, and HPCA South Africa, where she provided technical assistance for CaSIPO and APACE projects focusing on strengthening community systems. She received a Bachelor of Social Work (Cum laude) from the University of South Africa, a Postgraduate Diploma in HIV/AIDS Management from Stellenbosch and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. She is a current fellow of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) x Desmond Tutu Health Foundation (DTHF). Her research interests are multidisciplinary: behavioural science, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and public health interventions.
