Dr. Dvora Joseph Davey

Dr Dvora Joseph Davey (Division Co-Lead) is an HIV epidemiologist who has been working in HIV research in prevention and treatment for over 20 years. Her research focuses on preventing HIV infection in vulnerable groups, including pregnant women and couples. She is the Principal Investigator on a cohort study of sexual behaviours and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in pregnant and breastfeeding women in Cape Town. She is an Associate Professor of Infectious Disease Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of California Los Angeles. At Desmond Tutu Health Foundation, she has been an Honorary Senior Researcher for over 6 years, where she collaborates on HIV prevention, PrEP and HIV testing & treatment implementation studies.
