Dr. Eugene Lee Davids
Dr Eugene Lee Davids is the Research Manager at Varsity College and an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health, University of Cape Town. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology (B.Psych), Masters and Doctoral degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of the Western Cape, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Cape Town. His interdisciplinary academic background is in psychology and public health, where his research examines the social determinants of health and well-being of adolescents and emerging adults. Eugene’s contributions to research and leadership led to the following accolades: A National Research Foundation (NRF) rated researcher, an invited member of the South African Young Academy of Science (SAYAS), nominated as a Mail & Guardian 2017 Top 200 Young South Africans, a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, Abe Bailey and Desmond Tutu Emerging Leadership Fellow as well as a Donald J Cohen International Scholar in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
