Jane Kelly is a Research Officer in the Adolescent Accelerators Research Hub in the Centre for Social Science Research at the University of Cape Town. She leads and oversees qualitative and policy-aligned research activities under the umbrella of the HEY BABY project (Helping Empower Youth Brought up in Adversity with their Babies and Young Children), which explores protective pathways to promote resilience amongst adolescent parents and their children. She has a background in research psychology and experiences working in academic and government settings. Her current work primarily focuses on co-developing research to inform effective policy implementation. Her research interests include supporting pregnant and mother learners’ return to school, access to healthcare services, and supporting young people’s resilience more broadly.
