Dr Dvora Joseph Davey (Division Co-Lead) is an HIV epidemiologist who has been working in HIV research in prevention and treatment for over 20 years. Her research focuses on how best to prevent HIV infection in vulnerable groups including pregnant women and couples. She is the Principal Investigator on a cohort study of sexual behaviours and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in pregnant and breastfeeding women in Cape Town. She is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at University of California Los Angeles. At Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, she has been an Honorary Senior Researcher for 4 years, where she collaborates on HIV prevention and testing studies.
