Dr Katherine Gill MBChB, DA (SA), Dip Pall Med, Dip HIV Man (MASI CRS Leader / Senior Medical Officer). Dr Katherine Gill is an experienced HIV clinician and has been an Investigator/Co-investigator on more than 15 clinical trials including, HVTN 503 (Phase 2b HIV vaccine trial), HVTN 705 (Phase 2b efficacy HIV vaccine trial), IAVI 500 (HIV prevention preparatory cohort), FACTS001 (Phase III microbicide trial), IPM (Dapivirine ring efficacy and long term follow-up), CHAMPS (HIV prevention strategies for adolescents) and numerous Investigator driven studies in HIV prevention modalities and social behavioural research.
In her role as MASI CRS Leader Gill is responsible for the strategic direction, business and operational plans and sustainability. She supervises all the studies at the MASI CRS, and adolescent services. Gill serves as CRS Leader and senior medical officer. She is responsible for site evaluation, including assisting with the preparation of the CRS for protocol implementation and the reporting of relevant information to NIAID and the clinical research network.
